Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Requirements: Valid RN license in CO and min 1 year experience as RN OR
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Collaborate with the surgical team to create a safe and sterile environment
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgery
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgeon
- Assist with positioning and prepping patients for surgery
- Provide support to patients and their families, answering any questions or concerns they may have
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records of surgical procedures
- Assist with post-operative care, including wound care, suture removal, and pain management
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Skills:
- Experience in pediatric care is highly desired
- Proficient in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of sonography techniques for diagnostic purposes is a plus
- Ability to accurately assess vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Experience working with children and providing age-appropriate care
- Skilled in administering injections and sutures
- Familiarity with occupational health standards and protocols
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in emergency situations such as the ER
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,700.00 per week
